Malindi Golf & Country Club: A Golf Legend
Established in 1962, Malindi Golf and Country Club is a dashing 9-hole course measuring 6,000 yards for men and 5,200 yards for women; with a par of 70 for both. The course itself meanders through a series of hulking dunes with 6 par-threes and 4 par-fives along its excellently contoured greens, making it both exciting and challenging. Known for its scenic beauty and relaxed atmosphere, Malindi Golf Club provides a unique golfing experience in an exotic location
The 9-hole course features a number of iconic holes and with separate tees and some additional greens on the second nine and certainly has the feel of a full 18-hole golf course. Other amenities include, a 250 ms driving range, practice putting greens and bunker, a tennis court, and a a pro-shop offering golfing equipment, apparel, and accessories for purchase. The clubhouse provides amenities such as a bar, restaurant, and lounge areas, where members and guests can socialize.
Malindi Golf & Country Club has a generous admission policy that includes; full member ship, junior membership, temporary membership and daily membership. Non-members are welcome to play, with green fees applicable. It’s advisable to book tee times in advance. There are good accommodation options nearby like the Kijani Paradise and Ocean Beach Resort & Spa. Malindi Golf & Country Club is located 3 km north of Malindi via B8 Malindi-Lamu Road and Golf Course Drive.
