Amazing Luxury Lodges in Kilifi

Casa Dalton: Elevating Swahili Architecture
Once a just sleepy village, with a thousand years of history, Kilifi is now popular as a sea, sun and sand lover’s destination with many decent resorts. One of its latest establishments, Casa Dalton, designed by Alberto Morell Sixto, is as simplistic as a sigh, yet portent like the cause of the sigh design. With white washed walls and modish sharp lines, Casa Dalton surely takes the Swahili typology a step further.
A personal interpretation not necessarily ‘by the traditions’ at that, it pertinently celebrates the Kenyan coastline and Swahili architecture. It caters luxuriously for the wealthy traveller, in a beautiful setting, providing seclusion, privacy and out of this world quietude. One of the captivating twists at Casa Dalton is a 10-metres wide staircase that takes from the bottom of a courtyard pool up to a viewing deck overlooking the ocean. It is located in Madeteni village close to Kilifi town.

Around Kenya, there is a collection of rare experiences, in amazing lodges, offering guests intimate encounters with parts of the world not many get to know – and the chance to slow down and truly discover them. Each lodge is rooted in its local community and dedicated to protecting the habitat and cultures.
