The outlook from the pool to the Indian Ocean is every so often dotted with traditional fishing boats over a vista widening out at the mouth of Kilifi Creek and on to Bofa Beach. Kamili House has it own helipad, if you choose to arrive on a private charter. Otherwise Kilifi and Kilifi Creek are easy to get to, with scheduled flights in to Mombasa, Malindi or Vipingo away. There’s also an airstrip at the Kilifi Plantations 5 mins drive from Kamili House for private charters and personal crafts. By Road it is about 55 km north of Mombasa City via B8 the Mombasa-Malindi, taking a turnoff onto Plantations Road before crossing Kilifi Bridge.

Kilifi can be split into three zones – the narrow coastal plain, varying in width from 3 kms to 20 km; few coastal hills lying below 30 ms asl, and the Nyika Plateau rising from 100ms to 340 ms asl.

For the greater part of the year, the climate along the coastal plain is pleasurable, though humid. Temperature ranges between 21C and 30C along the coast, and between 30C and 34C further inland.
