Five Sister’s Hills: The Pleasant Milima Tano
Equally pretty in Tsavo West National Park’s catalog of conical and dainty natural wonders are the Five Sister’s Hills, Milima Tano, a pleasant scape of five ash cone shaped hillocks of almost similar height. Although only modest in their elevation, about 100 feet above the surround level plains, they are ethereal hillocks rising from a stunted ridge of black lava that is grown with shrubland and long luscious grass. A simpler description of these hillocks is, five hills with rounded elevations of limited extent rising above the surrounding plains with local relief of less than 300 m. The estimate terrain elevation above sea level in the area is 1016 metres.
