Lualenyi Camp: Get Lost In The Wild

Lualenyi Camp, with just six tented camps, has breathtakingly lovely view over the plains verging in the east by pretty hills, with the glorious Mount Kilimanjaro in the far west. It is up to-date with its modern amenities, yet, in its rural prospects, the uncomplicatedness of the contrasting external appearance of simplicity, with thatched roofs and rough-casted walls, rounds off the obligatory “Out in Africa” affair. The dining room and lounge, providing full restaurant and bar facilities, are the central areas. Since 1991, guests at the camp, situated within a 432 km2 private ranch in the southern reaches of Lumo Wildlife Conservancy, have enjoyed the inestimable privilege of peace and seclusion in a truly beautiful corner of Kenya.

The hosts, David and Christina, are always at hand to keep their guests engaged inasmuch care as the professional guides take on safaris of the Tsavo Ecosystem. Designed primarily for an intimate experience with nature and well-deserved relaxation, in a very romantic setting, Lualenyi Camp is the quintessential “lost in the wild” safari-honeymoon experience. A wild area, it is frequented by big game which can be seen at close quarters. Around the pool at the base of the hill game gather in good numbers throughout the day. Game drives, day and night, or game tracking, round off a great safari experience. From Mwatate it is 32 km to Lualenyi Camp which is 5 km south of Lumo Wildlife Sanctuary and the Lions Bluff Camp.

Camping is much more than a pleasant holiday, it’s a great way to truly enjoy Kenya. An inexpensive and indulging do-it-yourself holiday. In the warm Kenyan sun, camping is a way of life the intrepid spiritedly remembers. It is a memorable outdoor activity to carry out whether you are single, as a couple, or as a family.
