Known mainly to the locals, and a few outsiders over the years, the majestic spray and roar of Nyabomite falls, seen and heard from a distance, catches the first-timer by utter surprise. Stunning! It has a sheer drop of 40 metres, cascading in single powerful plunge over the rock face.

After the rains, the plunge at Nyabomite falls is at its most beautiful, thundering with new rejuvenation. The plunge into a series of picturesque pools, surrounded by lush greenery and inhabited by colourful birds and insects, leaves you in awe. Nyabomite falls creates a breathtaking sight amidst the rural landscape of the surrounding. It is a great examples of undiscovered gems that grace Kenya, offering visitors new perspectives of the country’s spectacular natural beauty.

From the Chepilat junction onto C22 Sotik-Ikonge Road, Ekerenyo location is about 25 km away. You drive out for 20 km to Ikonge, then onto C21 Ikonge-Kebirigo Road for 5 km to Ekerenyo. From here, locals are always willing to guide visitors to Nyabomite falls, over village back route, mostly for free or for a token fee. Alternatively, you can get in touch with Nyamira Missionary Cultural Group who organize excursions to Nyabomite and other places of interest in the area.
