Nyandarua Falls: Developed Pretty Twin Falls
Most people visiting Ndaragwa Falls make Twin Falls Hotel, eke-named Ndaragwa Forest Ecosystem Site, their jumping off place. Conveniently located just off the B5 Nyeri-Nyahururu Road 300 ms before Ndaragwa town if approaching from Nyeri, this is an easy to do destination, with free entry, requiring little advance planning. From the well signposted exit off B5 Road, Twin Falls Hotel provides amenities like camping, accommodation, onsite restaurant, and ample safe parking. The hiking trail starts from the hotel leading to the waterfalls. It’s an easy and rewarding hike.
Unbeknown to many motorists along the B5 Nyeri-Nyahururu Road, inadvertently whisking past the site set a bit back, is that the little-known Ndaragwa Falls in one the best developed, with a well kept walking trail and sturdy security barriers. The path goes over a small river bridge, down the slope trail with a firm underfoot and security barriers to the base of a small valley 500ms away, where Ndaragwa Falls in dead center ahead. It isapproachable to explore the rock pool, otherwise the path proceeds up and back to the bridge. The falls lies in Ndaragwa Forest Station, at the north-end of Aberdare Forest, 26km from Nyahururu, and 77km from Nyeri.
