Anyone touring Mount Kenya National Park through Chogoria Gate in Tharaka-Nithi County uses or goes through Anabas Lodge. Located about 33 km north of Chogoria, at the doorstep of Chogoria Gate in the moorland’s heart and overlooking the forest edge, it offers a restful base for those touring the mountain.
Right from the lodge you can sight various interests of Mount Kenya – Moorland, Point Lenana, Giant Billiard Table or Baren Table, Mpaku Marshlands, and Mau Mau Caves – which are easy to launch from here as well as to Lake Ellis and Nithi Falls.
