Kenze Gorges: A Fascinating River Line
The Kenze Gorges in Kilome offers breathtaking scenery, adventure opportunities, and geological wonders. By evening, the smooth, flowing orange and purple walls make for surreal photos. End to end Kenze Gorge hiking trail is about 12 km. It is a moderate hike featuring breathtaking geological formations, a temporary river with many rock pools, and panorama spots. The trail descends from Mukaa, where the first inland mission was established, and passes through a temporary river line with rock formations, rock pools, and view point. Elevation gain: 438m and Maximum altitude: 1,703m.

Makueni County’s terrain is generally low-lying, falling to 600 ms near Tsavo at the southern region.
