Tagabi Monkey Sanctuary: Scenic and Well-Run
Visiting a monkey sanctuary can be a heartwarming and educational experience, offering a chance to observe these intelligent and playful creatures in a protected environment. Tagabi Monkey Sanctuary is found within Tagabi Tea Estate, nearby Cheromit Shopping Centre, midpoint between Kericho and Changoi Tea Estate. Visitor interest centers on watching the happy-go-lucky primates go about their monkey business undeterred and rather uninterested in the spectators. Tagabi Monkey Sanctuary was created to preserve the small number of monkeys within their forest sections. It is well-maintained and a fantastic way to support wild fauna. They offer guided tours with insights into primate behavior, conservation efforts, and threats facing wild populations. It is a walker’s haven, too. Tagabi is part of a tranquil area that becomes quiet and peaceful at night, with the setting sun creating a warm glow and darkness broken only by moonlight or rural homes.
