Mfangano Island Lodge: A Charming Hideaway
The charming and offbeat Mfangano Island Lodge encapsulates all that we love about island hideaways. The rustic lodge, set on the exclusive northern edge of Mfangano Island, is inspired and built using the Luo-tribal-style to pay homage to the local community. The style blends well with the landscape. All in all, there are nine double-bedded cottages, including a pretty dedicated family cottage set right at the lakeshore and all enclosed in secluded beautiful gardens running to the littorals of Lake Victoria. Among the highlights at Mfangano Island Camp are the panoramic views over Lake Victoria, a spa, water-sports, fishing, biking and exploring nearby rock art sites. It has an infinity pool, from where one can wallow in the luxury of the year-round pleasant tropical weather and pleasurable views.
