Takawiri Island: A Tropical Escape
Situated 1.2 km southeast of Mfangano island and served by Mbita Ferry or by the hop-on hop-off motorized boats at Mbita Point, the surprisingly unmarketed Takawiri Island is fast-growing as a tropical escape. The appeal of this tiny island is capped by a pristine stretch of pretty palm-fringed sandy beach, azure waters, and the most inviting tropical weather.
