Eldoret Arboretum: A New Green Public Space
As the newly-inaugurated Eldoret City continues to expand, the need for public, green spaces has become more critical than ever. The Eldoret Arboretum, set up as a place where different kinds of trees and shrubs are grown, studied, labeled, and preserved for education, research, and conservation, not only provides a natural retreat for residents but also plays a vital role in preserving ecological balance and enhancing the city’s livability amid ongoing development. Consistent maintenance of the Arboretum has significantly enhanced Eldoret’s aesthetic appeal, positioning it as an important local tourism destination, while offering residents a peaceful green space for recreation. Eldoret Arboretum is located off C39 Eldoret Iten Road, 500 ms beyond the Kipchoge keino Stadium.
